is your internet explorer still alive?

if not, be part of the movement.

i heard from chris yesterday that her IE died on her. audrey's too eh? i heard u guys using mozilla? today my IE died. i tried to debug but i gave up as there's no point trying to resurrect the useless anyway.

so now i've joined in the gang. i'm using firefox (aka mozilla) too.
join the force. get one for yourself. your IE will die either today or tomorrow.

(actually i'm suspecting if there's any undergroud movement of the virus here. why do all the IE happily die together at the same time?)

anyway, to get the backgroud sound embeded in websites to play, you need a quicktime plug-in. install iTune, quicktime comes with it. or u can just install quicktime alone. but iTune is a good player. it's my default mp3 player now.

Ni's Review
you'll like...
- import feature, importing your bookmarks, history, cookies and everything else in IE which makes it extremely easy and seamless to switch from IE to firefox
- search field, search everything from google to webster to wikipedia to amazon to movies to ebay. very useful indeed.
- pop-up block. it can even block the tblog popup. my google toolbar couldn't do that
- pretty-looking GUI, makes it go so well with your XP
- tab function. instead of having ten trillions IE windows, you have a neatly-arranged tabs within on window
- download manager. and i find that downloading in firefox is much faster than when i did with IE

you'll probably hate...
- the need to install some plug-ins in order to view the page properly. it took me to uninstall and reinstall quicktime and iTune again and again a few times just to get the sound in my blog to play
- some CSS (web layout and colour scheme) might not be compatible (that what chris complain. but so far so good. i see no prob yet)
- get used to tab function? but that's no problem for me

well, overall, it's a good switch. i'm quite happy with it so far. will update u again if i encounter any bug or problem.

happy switching!

heh... not bad. u managed to reinstall windows? so are u using XP now or still using Win Me?

btw, i realised some blogs' layouts don't turn out properly in firefox. investigation shows that the authurs of the blog skins didn't use proper CSS according to the CSS standard but it works on IE cos IE doesn't follow the standard. but microsoft doesn't care about it cos it knows that IE has the biggest market share for web browser, thus, forces the developers to follow microsoft's IE standard instead of the correct CSS standard.

therefor, join the force. the let the bad guys conquer the world.

and yah... ur blog layout can't be viewed nicely on firefox. if u want, u can send me ur skin template. i can fix for u. ;)
